Bantam Grizzlies maul opposition

EMC Sports - The Kanata Bantam B Grizzlies, of the Kanata Minor Hockey Association swept the competition and brought home the 'A' side Championship from Vankleek Hill on Sunday, Jan. 24. The Grizzlies gave up only one goal in their three tournament games with a 3-0 victory over North Dundas in a tight opening match, a 7-1 victory over host Vankleek Hill in game 2, and then a very hard fought, 1-0 victory in a spirited affair in the final against Leitrim, which saw the Grizz kill off a two-man advantage in the final minute of the game to preserve the shut out victory.

Stephen Xu was named player of the game in the final, and Alex Syrenne was named the tournament's "Monster Player".
